It’s been one month since I made my commitment to start The Fairytale Traveler and I have already learned so much. The travel blog world is widely diverse with a myriad of influential writers and professionals. It has not been uncommon this month for me to have been seen blogging or reading on the treadmill, sleeping with my tablet, or scrambling for a place to charge up after having drained my battery from hours of reading, research and writing (not to mention the social media aspect of promoting yourself as a newb in a saturated market). So where’s the silver lining?
I have discovered destinations I’ve never even heard of, connected with people that are as passionate as I am about travel and the freedom to do what we love, and each day I am becoming a better writer with a sharper edge (if I could just get a stunt double that would be fantastic). Today, one month later I couldn’t be more enthusiastic about this industry. I have also discovered the Travel Blog Exchange #TBEX @TBEX where travel bloggers come together to learn from the best. I am very excited to be attending their Dublin event in October and meeting as many people as I can (hopefully you).
This has been a pretty productive month for me, I can’t wait to see how next month will be. Thank you again for following me on WordPress, Twitter and Facebook, I love learning from all of you. Here are just a few of the many blogs that I found inspiring and useful this month.
